SSCC stands for SerialShipping Container Code, this is basically providing a unique company identifier for a shipped container(or package).

SSCCManagement is made to organize packaging of shipped items. This might result also in a package label that would be used for further tracking of the whole logistic flow.

One base limitation of Microsoft Dynamics365 Business Central is that you can assign only one package tracking No. per sales document. But when shipping a large number of goods, you may require more granularity. SSCC Management will also help you in creating packaging labels. To support this, we created SSCC Lines that would support the link between the sales/shipping document and the SSCC label. This offers the possibility to create multiple SSCC per sales line (imagine you have to create 3 pallets to ship one sales line) or group several orders on the same SSCC (imagine you need to ship two small orders for the same customer on the same day. Why make two pallets?).
